This is what I have come up with so far. Please everyone, feel free to modify this:

EB3 moved 2 weeks in 10 months!
EB2 hardly moved in 10 months!
If this is the rate at which things move, you will get your Green Card in anywhere from 5 to 15 years based on your priority dates.

� Children not being able to get state benefits.
� Spouses unable to work.
� The feeling of unsettlement.

The strange thing here is that it says TSA and not FBI will be doing the backgound check, where as i am sure i heard on the NPR report that it will be the FBI which will do the initial Name Check.

My Friend...Applied his Labor on EB-2 in MAR 2005. His labor approved and applied I-140 & I-485 in AUG 2007. His I-140 Got approved. He said his lawyer accidentally filed his I-140 in EB-3. Because his I-140 approved notice Type has the message like "Skilled Worker or Professional, Sec. 203(b) (3) (A) (i) or (ii)". Is this is true....? Thanks for early reply.

During our 485 filing the lawyers had informed us that making exact size color copies of any official documents (including DL) is illegal. They had asked me to increase/decrease the size by 20-25% which is perfectly legal.

It is not the first time we got call..our case have been moved to Local office sometime in 2008..since then we got calls few times..asking for this document..that document..verification..saying we are consolidating etc etc...
Looks like they are doing something with cases for sure :cool:

If old employer revokes I140 then the result will be unpredictable. But it is upto INS to decide. Only those who had similar experience can tell clearly about this. Or a Lawyer can give better idea

You are confused on this. IEEE is against increase of H1B visas. They have never said anything about GCs. If they have, show me where.
those who will feel abused are ones with advanced degrees from the US but did not get their H1B only to find someone from India has gotten an H1B. That person will feel abused because of the time (and maybe money) spent in getting the advanced degree.

It is just a temporary movement to capture as many visa number as possible. Dates will move back in Oct and surge forward in June 09.

understandably so.. but I am now current after a looooong time. EB3 Dec 2001 PD. I can finally file the AOS for my wife who has been on H4 for the last 2 yrs... excellent!
