But he is absolutely right. It is perfectly useable without a base computer to sync with, too. Think of it this way, if one doesn't have a computer already, they won't have anything to sync. Then it's just on to the iTunes Store.
This is the right device for, say, my sister, who just wants to be able to browse the web, play some games, and watch some videos. And my guess is that's the target audience as well as the "normal" user.

Go with DirecTV. Their new iPad app is awesome, acts as the best remote ever. Instead of paging through listings, I can swipe momentum style through the guide on my screen and tune my TV directly through it. No iPad watching yet, but I imagine sometime soon enough when they all start to offer it, the competition will force it. I can create multiple guides for things like sports, kids, movies, news. They all live update. Set and control your DVR all through the app.

One thing that is important to investors is the ranking of units shipped (in comparison to other companies.) Apple is currently 4th behind Gateway -- but VERY close!! Q4 2006 should bring Apple to the 3rd place for US shipments in America, behind Dell and HP. That will turn a lot of heads. In actuality the new 1.25ghz Dual G4 is the 3rd fastest consumer PC in the market. It almost matches the fastest AMD processor and is just slightly behind Intels PIV 2.8 ghz machine. Check it out for yourself:

Cool, they have ALWAYS had issues with saving toolbar, menu and keyboard shortcut settings between launches. The day I installed Office 2011 I had both Word and Excel 'unexpectedly' quit on me while trying to adjust such things to my liking. Since then they've sometimes just blatantly and with intent to wound reverted to default settings, grrr.
The ribbon in '11 does still need some work - they did a great job with it in '10 on Windows, where it is fully customisable, even if it ALSO has major issues with saving the changes - you have to make all the changes in one sweep or it keeps reverting. The customisability in '11 is lacking and for whatever reason they made the ribbons very different from their Windows equivalents - probably just to make it harder for switchers lol.
Looking forward to seeing what else if anything is new. Doesn't look like they included any fixes for the much-in-need Messenger.... Nevermind.

No it's not banned. They are intentionally trying to make it more difficult for you to buy it. You have to do the footwork yourself to get it. It is unprecendented for a company to want to make their product more difficult to buy.
Seems fraud is the reason from what that rep said in the chat. Maybe we have started to solve the mystery to this thread (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=613734). ;)

As for eBay iPhones, you can find any of these for any cell phone under contract on eBay. This, or fraudulent claims, wouldn't be a NYC specific problem.

go to the friends tab within facebook and within, there is a 'sync' tab on the top right of the page. Hope that helps.

the "cropping" was referred to only one camera body.. just to illustrate you the whole crop size thing.
Now on the top of my quote you write to show you an exif intact photo with an EFs and EF lens..
I cannot do that as I don't have my cam but I will have it back on the weekend and I actually own a dx and FX lens (EF-s and EF) in Nikon land that overlap at 24mm, so I CAN show you..
to everyone else: Can someone do this before then to show our poor misguided soul what is going on?.
As far as Nikon goes: The reason was the F- Mount.. High speed crop is a byproduct. the D700 does not have it and some other don't either but they all MOUNT DX lenses in crop mode AND full frame mode.

I'm picking up Rabbids 3D tomorrow.
Ridge Racer is a slow burner and has grown on me. Really enjoying Lego StarWars, however the space combat levels are pants. PilotWings is my biggest let down. There's nothing that 'bad' about it - it's just that it doesn't have the magic of past pilotwings.
