Band of the WEEK 5-10

Led Zeppelin

I picked this week’s band because they are one bad that I have always listened to Happy or Sad. They have been around a long time and are totally kickass. In fact, I am listening to them right now. “Stairway to Heaven”.

So this week I would like to pimp, Led Zeppelin.

Led Zeppelin is an English rock band formed in 1968.

Band Members:
Jimmy Page (guitar)
Robert Plant (vocals, harmonica)
John Paul Jones (bass guitar, keyboards, mandolin)
John Bonham (drums).

Their genre is heavy metal and hard rock music. The band has sold over 200 million albums worldwide, making them one of the best-selling music artists of all time.

Led Zeppelin is ranked #1 on VH1's 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock and Classic Rock's 50 Best Live Acts of All Time.

They have had all of their original studio albums reach the top 10 of the Billboard album chart in the US, with six reaching the number one spot.

30 years after disbanding, following John Bonham's death in 1980, the band continues to be held in high regard for their artistic achievements, commercial success, and broad influence.

In 2007, the surviving members of Led Zeppelin reunited (along with deceased drummer John Bonham's son, Jason) for the Ahmet Ertegün Tribute Concert at The O2 Arena in London.

Following the reunion concert and the press coverage it generated, speculation on the future of the band and the possibility of a tour with Jason Bonham on drums increased to a level of interest not seen in several years.
